Orgiva is a market town situated in the lower Alpujarras which is an area of scattered white Andalucian villages spread through the valleys and over the southern slopes of Spain's highest mountain range of the Sierra Nevada.
This area has many visitors throughout the year as snow falls on the mountains in the Winter time to make it a haven for the skiers from December to April and the sun shines in the valleys in the Summer for visitors to soak up the sun and to enjoy the peaceful and tranquil setting.
It is also approx one hour south of Granada to visit the Alhambra Palace and two hours east of Malaga.
This is the place to experience 'real Spain' yet still remain within easy reach of beaches, supermarkets, restaurants and bars.
