La Cala - Costa del Sol
La Cala lies on the coast between Fuengirola and Marbella and is the perfect resort for families and couples. It offers sun, sea and a beautiful Blue Flag .
There is a regular bus service to Marbella or Fuengirola and a train service from Fuengirola to all major towns and cities in Spain including Malaga.
There is a good children’s play area nearby where you can see them enjoying themselves whilst you enjoy a few drinks in peace and perhaps soak up a few sun rays at the same time.
La Cala has plenty of restaurants offering a wide range of quality meals from Chinese to Indian, Spanish, Thai and English. There are plenty of bars to enjoy an evening drink and perhaps if you’re the sporty type, you can enjoy watching your favourites team play at the same time.
There is a new shopping complex in La Cala which offers all that you require with supermarket, banks, hairdressers, internet cafes, exchange bureaus etc.
Along the promenade, La Cala has beach bars and restaurants, take away shops, sandwich bars and not forgetting the Ice Cream Parlour.
La Cala offers a good variety of activities to suit just about everyone. For the Golfers, there is a lovely golf course which makes the walk well worth it to take in the lovely scenery. There is a Hippodrome Race Course also for the Race Course enthusiasts.
For the children, a new play area has been constructed on the promenade with lovely soft mat activity boat area.
Market day is now twice a week in La Cala, every Saturday and Wednesday where many different products from fresh fruit & veg, clothes, household goods, sweets, spices and Spanish pottery can be purchased.
