Alcalali, Costa Blanca

In the heart of the small and beautiful valley of the Pop lies the municipality of Alcalali, a name very much associated with the Moors. You will discover a myriad of well-taken care of and clean streets that need to be visited on foot & at leisure. 

Alcalali, lying half way between Jalon and Parcent and surrounded by towns like Lliber, Jalon, Orba & Sagra, is abundant in grapevines and also in almond tree, offering to its visitors a beautiful target-pink landscape, specially attractive in the month of February, at which time the trees are in flower.

With an area of 14 km and 1000+ inhabitants, Alcalali rises to 230 meters above sea level, enjoying a temperate climate, whose annual average is 17 degrees. 

Given the special orography that surrounds the valley in which Alcalali is situated, the small Seguilli Mountain range and the Coll de Rates - from whose viewpoint one can get a fantastically beautiful panoramic view of almost all of the region. Visitors have ample possibilities, such as excursions to the Penyal of l“Altar or the mountain range of the Cavall Verd, or visits to the towns of Parcent - to little 2 km or Tug, where they will be able to buy an excellent wine of the zone and, on Saturdays they can visit the local Jalon market for antiques that is held at the side of the river. 

In close by Benidoleig it is possible to visit the prehistoric caves of Skulls.

Alcalali is strategically positioned for excellent access to all the Mediterranean beaches offered by Oliva, Denia, Javea, Moraira, Calpe & even Benidorm is only a 40 minute drive away.
